“The Blonde Salad”- Chiara Ferragni

“The Blonde Salad” is a well known fashion and style blog by Italian fashionista, Chiara Ferragni. The Blonde Salad blog, began in October, 2009, and is eye catching with Ferragni posing in high fashion outfits in a variety of locations. The name is catchy because she has blonde hair and is a salad like mixture of pop culture, Italian Milanese style as well as worldwide appeal. She exudes a fashion influence for most female shoppers who like the looks, the fashion brands she promotes and follow her on social media. Chiara Ferragni was born in Cremona, Italy in the Lombardy Region. Initially a law student, she had a change of plans. Her blog has her blond image emerged in a bathtub of salad, is pictorial and has Italian and English subtitles. She has a large Instagram following too. Chiara has promoted brands such as; Pantene, Tod’s, Hermes and other designers. Ferragni was voted by Forbes Magazine as one of the biggest influencers. She started a line of shoes called “The Ferragni Collective”, in 2014, and it was a case study for Harvard Business School. B students were supposed to read and analyze if she should use a market strategy that kept her line separate from her blog and media or combine the two. Chiara recently did an ad for Pomellato Jewelry and wed rapper Fez ,in a lavish Sicilian ceremony, with whom she has a baby boy named Leo. Chiara Ferragni has released a documentary, “Unposted”, which is a look into her life as a fashion influencer, career, style, Italian background and the social media.
