The Bamford Haybarn Spa recently opened in The One Hotel
Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. It is the
creation of Lady Carole Bamford and the spa offers organic
facials and products in addition to English linen items. It is
full service; offering facials, body care, massages and nail
care. Carole Bamford is from Nottingham, England where
she began the Daylesford Spa as well as a farm to table
restaurant. Bamford runs the Lady Bamford Charitable
Trust, offering assistance to schools in rural locations like
Rasjathan, India. The name hay barn derives from the
rural aspects incorporated in the spa. The One Hotel group
is LEED certified. A “green” hotel in which the eco is seen
with lobby plants, bark and wood tables and nature books.
The spa is a new holistic addition which reflects the hotel’s
image. The Brooklyn waterfront’s cobbled streets meet
provincial England, come see if a spa day makes you feel
like a lady in waiting.
