
Actress and entrepreneur, Michelle Pfeiffer, has developed a line of transparent or non toxic perfumes; Henry Rose. Taking a break from her roles as Cat Woman and current performance in Maleficent 2, she has worked hard to develop a line of safe fragrances which do not contain ingredients such as; phthalates. Pfeiffer did not wear fragrance for ten years, after having her children, because she was not pleased with what the 3 billion dollar market has to offer. The Golden Globe star works with the group EWG (Environmental Working Group) which tests perfume ingredients and requires 25 page affidavits, approving 350 ingredients for purity levels. Michelle Pfeiffer searched for a company to develop and market the perfume, eventually choosing International Flavor and Fragrances Inc.. The Henry Rose moniker is a combination of her son and daughter’s names. A bottle is 1.7 ounces and retails for $120.00 and they cary a set of rollerballs. The glass bottle is 90 % recyclable and the caps are made of soy. The scent names are; Last Night, Jake’s House, Dark is Night and Fog. Henry Rose is sold online and is carried at lifestyle boutique, The Conservatory, located at The Shops at Hudson Yards in NYC.
