Actress and entrepreneur, Sarah Jessica Parker, opened

her SJP shoe boutique at South Street Seaport, NYC in

the fall. The boutique is a new endeavor although stores

such as; Bloomingdales have carried her shoes for awhile.

SJP is known for her role as writer, Carrie Bradshaw, on

the TV show “Sex in the City”. The store is located in

the newly renovated seaport district. The shoes are

colorful and sparkly for evening and for daytime, flats.

They represent the cosmopolitan culture which the show

reflects. Most viewers remember when her character

gets mugged, a man runs off with treasured Manolo

Blahnick’s. Coincidentally, Mr. Blahnick is Parker’s

partner and named one pair from his line after her.
